Protecting and serving the City of Broken Bow

The Broken Bow, NE Police Department serves a rural community of more than 3,500 residents in the center of Nebraska. Broken Bow is located along scenic Highway 2, just 50 miles north of Interstate 80. It is the county seat of Custer County, the second largest county by area in the state.

The department has seven full-time officers and one full-time police secretary.

Broken Bow Police Department works hand-in-hand with the community, the Custer County Sheriff’s Office and the Nebraska State Patrol to ensure a safe environment and an excellent quality of life for the citizens of Broken Bow.

Officers reach out to inform citizens through programs such as Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) for students, as well as presentations to clubs, service groups and other government agencies.
